• MACNA, the longest running Marine Aquarium conference in the world. Where industry, science, and hobbyists come together for marine aquarium education, innovation, and social networking.
• The Marine Aquarium Conference of North America is the oldest conference of its kind, bringing industry leaders, scientific advancements, and the hobbyists that connect them together all in one place. Three days, dozens of speakers, hundreds of exhibitors, and thousands of attendees all under one roof.

MASNA Programs that run at MACNA:

• Aquarist of the Year & The MASNA Award. The annual Marine Aquarium Societies of North America (MASNA) award, Aquarist of the Year, has now been split into two awards. The first, The MASNA Award, is historically what was called the Aquarist of the Year Award. The MASNA Award is to recognize those individuals who have who have contributed a lifetime of achievement to the marine aquarium industry, not only recently, but in the past. The second award, now named Aquarist of the Year Award, is to recognize those individuals who have made a more recent achievement to the marine aquarium industry. Marine aquarium hobbyists from around the world are the ones who nominate individuals for both awards.
• The MASNA Student Scholarships. MASNA offers the MASNA Student Scholarship program to help stimulate and promote the pursuit of marine science, in particular for topics that are current and relevant to the marine aquarium hobby. This is the 10th year for the MASNA Student Scholarship Program. In total, the MASNA Student Scholarship program has contributed $72,000 to college students who have significantly impacted the marine aquarium hobby.
• The MASNA Scientific Poster Session. The MASNA Scientific Poster Session allows for advanced aquarists, undergraduates, graduate students, and scientists to share their scientific posters on their current or past marine aquarium related research projects with the MACNA attendees and exhibitors. This includes submissions from hobbyists that would be seen as advanced aquarists. Posters will be judged by a committee consisting of general hobbyists, and scientists. Prizes will be awarded for posters in each of the three following categories: general hobbyists, undergraduate students, and graduate students.
